And We're Off....

Tomorrow morning, fifteen students, one parent, and I will depart for our ten day journey through the American South. My students have been preparing, fundraising, reading, discussing, and anticipating their trip since November, and we are all SO excited to begin our adventure! We will be examining the modern Civil Rights Movement in depth, and we are going to visit the sacred sites of the Freedom Struggle and spend time meeting with many of the "ordinary people who did extraordinary things" in the fight for human rights. It will truly be a transformative experience for all of us. We are traveling with a non-profit educational project called Sojourn to the Past.
